The image above illustrates an Internet-Interface of smartDIS generated by the Web-Interface-Builder. The left frame contains the navigation tree, that displays all published archives and functionalities. Each archive contains a sub-folder for the published Data viws, reports and input-forms. the enabled functionalities (Web-maps, profiles, etc) are located at the bottom of the navigation tree. The selected element will be displayed in the right frame of the window.
The input-form for cores and sections is selected in the example above and the data in the project database can be edited via the Internet. An input-form has facilities to adapt the layout by setting the page size or hiding columns and it is possible to search for data by filters. Furhermore it is possible to save the displayed data to the local computer in ASCII_ or XML_Format.
The data views of the Internet-Interface have the same layout and functionallities as the input forms but it is not possible to edit the displayed data.
Below you can see an example of a smartDIS report that is publihed as PDF though the Internet-Interface, so it is possible to publish complex reports including images too.
It is possible to integrate a map based navigation, displaying sitesand holes.
The interactive lithological profiles generated by the Litho-Profile-Builder are also working through the Internet.
A mouse-click at a lithological units drills-down to a detailed core profile including section images.
